Here are some of our favorites from Margaret and Jonathan’s wedding from this past December! It was definitely an exciting wedding day. Everything was up in Champaign, IL , and because there was some threat of weather, we decided to make the trip up the night before to make sure we had no issues getting in town. Good thing we did, because even as we were approaching on Friday night, the snow was pouring down. By the time we woke up on Saturday morning, there was a foot of snow on the ground! People were getting stuck all over the place (including wedding guests and participants), and I had my very first experience of pushing stuck vehicles while in full camera gear.
The wedding ceremony was so touching, and it was very clear how important family is to both of them. The most special moment was when the parents got together to pray over the two of them…it was very powerful. When the ceremony was over, we headed right to the reception venue (which was the magnificent Alice Campbell Alumni Center of U of I) to do the photos with the couple and the bridal party. One of the best things about snow is that almost EVERYTHING looks gorgeous. So, all we had to do was find some trees with pretty snow and bingo! We had a great place for photos. The nice thing about it being right by the venue was that it was a very short walk to get back inside and warm up! Speaking of the reception…we brought our photobooth with us, so check out the link to see some of our favorites.
We absolutely love it when photos are important to a couple, so after the reception was all over, Margaret and Jonathan wanted to go out for a few more photos! We love getting to shoot when it is a bit darker and we can do some cool stuff, so we were so excited about that.
So, a huge congrats to these two love birds. Even though we did not have as much time with you as we often do, we could see so quickly how in love you were and that you have an amazing adventure ahead of you. We are so excited to see what is in store for you both!
P.S. Jeremiah from ParkLife Films did an awesome wedding film of the day, and you definitely should check it out. You can see it HERE. They were a great crew to work with, and you should look them up if you are are still needing a videographer.
