We were so impressed that the one and only Taylor Swift was able to take some time off and be with us on Beth and Chen’s wedding day. I mean, it is not everyday you get to hang out with a star of this magnitude, but Beth and Chen are kind of a big deal…so it was not a shock to see her there. She did not say much, to be honest, but we think it was because she was just so overcome with emotion. We completely understand.
We first met the true stars of the day a few years back at the wedding of one of our favorite couples, Elizabeth and Kevin (see their Chandler Hill wedding HERE). When we shot their engagement photos, they told us that they were incredibly awkward in front of the camera. While we were expecting some major challenge, they actually just laughed at and with each other the entire time, which made for so many wonderful photos. Laughing is rarely a bad thing in photos. We split most of their photo time between the Chase Park Plaza and Tower Grove Park, but the wedding itself and the reception were at the Third Degree Glass Factory. When it case time to party, everyone there was ready to go…for reals. One of the highlights was when they did the Hava Nagila. We were fairly certain that a few of the guys lifting the two of them up and down were about to pass out, but thankfully everyone survived. Another fun thing was that they had an icrecream truck show up for the last few hours of the reception. I mean, who does not love a cold drumstick after dancing like mad?
It was a great day, and we were so happy to spend the day with Beth and Chen and their family and friends…and Taylor, of course. Huge congrats to you both!
P.S. Huge thanks to Megan from Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events from helping make everything look so beautiful and go so smoothly!
