When I think Kristen and Mark, I think, they are just so sweet! And their wedding day was no exception. They had decided they wanted to do photos before the ceremony, and as Mark was waiting to see his bride for the first time in her dress, who should come bounding in the church but his dog. Yes, I’m serious. Somebody wanted to get in on the fun too! This Saturday turned out to be one of the warmer days we’d had so far, and by the time we got to Forrest Park to shoot, the sun was high in the sky, and we were feeling it’s full glory. I have to say though, that their bridal party was great. They put up with the sun as we tried to move from shade to shade to keep everybody cool.
People love seeing bridal parties. They shout, wave, honk and generally wish congratulations all around when they see them. We had one gentleman take it a step further. He had his beautiful, orange corvette parked just outside The Muny, and offered to let the bridal party pose with it! We had to tear Mark away as he talked cars with the owner, but it was worth it 😉
After the formal shots we returned to the church, which sadly wasn’t much cooler than the outdoors! But that didn’t deter anyone. It was a wonderful ceremony performed by Mark’s childhood minister. I loved seeing the emotion in everyone’s eyes as Kristen walked in, a vision in white. (One of our few white dresses so far this year – It’s been a big year for ivory!) It was a wonderful day for a wonderful couple! Congratulations Kristen & Mark!
