Bernie & Bobby | Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis Wedding

Bobby and Bernie met online for brunch in early 2020. Apparently the universe wasn’t ready for them to be a couple because soon after their first date, the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down. Fast forward to the summer of 2022, Bernie re-met Bobby at a local running club and they hit it off from there. Bernie joined Bobby’s fantasy hockey league (and beat him, by the way!), Bobby taught Bernie how to ice skate and ski (the trick is to not fall!), and the duo has bonded over their mutual love for cross country trips, breweries/wineries, their faith, and mutual love of dogs (especially Bobby’s dog, Stanley!). Bernie and Bobby are each other’s person.

We had such a great time with these two and their amazing family and friends. After starting with Bernie at the always fun Cheshire Inn for prep time, we headed to the magnificent Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. It was actually the first time I had shot there since very early in my wedding career, and it was so great being back in that incredible church. From there, we went to Missouri Botanical Garden, which is the same place that we shot there engagement photos earlier in the year! We don’t normally do both engagement and wedding photos at the same place, but not only does a place like that give SO much opportunity for variety, it is a very special place for them. We ended the day at the Jefferson Underground, and that was actually our first time working there. Such a unique space…and we always love that. Definitely hope to be there again soon.
