Catherine and Bryant (or, as well all know them as…Cat and Brooks) met after Cat’s brother knew Brooks from attending Michigan State. After connecting on social media (thank God for Facebook), they started chatting and began developing a relationship. Brooks was heading out to California to pursue work with his engineering degree, and Cat was back in the Detroit area. Obviously, long-distance relationships can be tough, but it is also a great chance to truly get to know each other. And…Brooks made many, many trips to visit. Eventually, an opportunity arose to pursue some new work in St. Louis, and they decided to make the move. Brooks saw this as a perfect time to propose, and the day before Valentine’s in 2015, he asked in front of their friends.
We were so excited for their wedding day to finally arrive. The reception was going to be at one of our favorite places, the City Museum, and knowing that most people would be traveling in from Detroit made it even more exciting, because we know they all would have a last in such an awesome space. Even more than that, though, we knew we were in for a special day, and it certainly was that and more. More than anything else, we love sweet moments between a couple and with their friends and family, and there was more than we could keep track of. And…we love a good party. We definitely had that. Â One of my (Joel) favorite part was when the entire wedding went down the rooftop slide…of course being led down by Brooks and Cat.
It was just a great day, and we were so happy to be a part of it. Here are some of our favorites from the day. Congrats to Cat and Brooks (and Tristan too!).
