When Greg made the drive up to Peoria to visit with Christina at college, Christina new that what was growing was something special. She took matters into her own hands and asked Greg to make it official, and like any smart man…he agreed. Good call. After 3 years of getting to know each other over the long distance, she moved back home and they were able to have the time together they wanted so much. After they had been together 5 years, it was time and he asked. Like any smart woman…she had to think it over for a while. Nah…just joking. She said yes, of course.
Joel and I had so much fun shooting their engagement photos a few weeks ago. We started out in lovely little Maeystown (which we love because of two of our couples…these two and these two), and from there we went to Christina’s family’s old dairy farm which is not up and running anymore. It’s so much fun going to unique locations like that, because we always love to find beauty in places that might not seem like they would have much to offer. But, whenever you are someplace that is important to people…there is always a lot to find there (including finding Christina’s name written in some concrete who knows how many years ago).
Here are some of our favorites from the day. Hope you enjoy them, and I cannot wait for your wedding next fall!
