First Wedding of the Year…finally!

As we were booking our 2011 weddings last year, we were noticing a trend. We were filling our late spring, summer, and fall dates left and right. But, we had no early year weddings at all. As of right now, we have 25 weddings booked in 2011, and our first one on the books was for the last weekend in April. That changed a few weeks ago when we got a call from Maddy’s mother. Matt and Maddy were getting married in a few weeks, and the photographer was one of those things they had not gotten to yet. Thankfully, we were available, and the wedding was right here in Collinsville! (which always makes things easy when it is right in our back yard) We have been filling our recent Saturday’s with engagement sessions for summer and fall weddings so that once the summer madness kicks in, we have many of those taken care of. It just so happened that today we had not scheduled anything. Good news all around.

Maddy and Matt came to see us a few days ago after we had the paperwork taken care of, and we knew right away that they would be a very fun couple. They definitely did not disappoint! They had various moments of silliness that cropped up throughout the day that always made for great photo ops (as you can see in a few of the photos below). It is funny, because some of their funny things reminded me of Shannon’s and my wedding photos. There may or may not be several photos of me licking Shannon’s face and others of me pretending to bite her. Yeah…some times my sense of humor is just a little weird.

We just had a great time working with them and their families and bridal party…it was a great way to start our busiest wedding season yet. We wish you both blessings and joy in your new life together!
