We met Phoebe two summers ago when we were looking for our summer interns. She worked with us and was an amazing assistant and great company on many wedding days. So we were SUPER excited when she and Eric got engaged and wanted us to document their wedding day!
Eric’s grandparent’s have a beautiful piece of property out in Pacific, MO that he grew up on, and next door is another beautiful property Haue Valley where they decided to have their adorable country reception. I love country barn weddings, it’s the best of both worlds. You get the feeling of being outdoors but have some cover in case mother nature decides to be less than cooperative. It was our first time being at Haue Valley, as they just recently started hosting weddings. We could not have been more impressed. The staff was amazing, and the facility was beautiful. They have a great room for the bride to get ready and the most picturesque surroundings! We could have done all of our photos right on site and still not have covered all their property. So, all of you brides looking for a great spot for your country wedding in the St. Louis area, be sure to check them out!
But back to Phoebe and Eric… 🙂 Although they didn’t want to do a first look, they did want to pray together before the ceremony, so we had a beautiful moment with them outside the church shortly before going down the aisle. After a beautiful ceremony in the church Eric grew up in, we set off for a cool bridge they wanted to have some photos by. Being an old, single lane bridge, the limo didn’t think they could make it and then get turned around, so we walked a fair bit to get to the location. In fact, when we got to the reception, the bottom of Phoebe’s shoes had started melting! But she was a trooper. We had a wonderful evening with their friends and family, celebrating the start of something special!
Congratulations Phoebe & Eric! We love you guys and are so happy for you!
