Jade and James have a special story, one that has spanned many miles over many years. She is Canadian; he is half Canadian, half American. They met up in Canada, but when James moved down to St. Louis for school their relationship just continued over the miles. It says something about couples who are able to make long distance work, especially over an extended period of time. So it was that much more special when this wedding celebration occurred, for them to finally be in the same place at the same time! It was also great to see how many of their friends and family made the trip down to be with them on their special day. I think that says a lot about Jade and James as well – they are well loved and good friends!
The ceremony and reception took place at the Hyatt Regency downtown, on the rooftop patio. Although it was quite warm for the ceremony :), by the time the party started that evening it was absolutely beautiful, and a really unique venue! The staff was great, and we definitely recommend them as a place for your wedding, rehearsal, or party. We joined them, as we usually do, as everyone was getting ready. Nervous excitement was in the air! A friend of James’ did a lovely job with the ceremony, and then we were off to do photos. We went back to the spot where James proposed and then on to get some iconic Arch photos for this international couple. The evening concluded with some very moving speeches from Jade and James’ parents and members of the wedding party, followed by dancing on the rooftop! It was a great day, and we are so glad we were able to be a part of it.
Congratulations Jade & James! We wish you enough love to span to countries and still more to come 🙂
