Weddings over the past 1.5 years have been, to put it mildly, absolutely bonkers. Lots of chaos, uncertainties, and a high level of stress. Yesterday’s wedding, though, was nothing of these. We had such an incredible day with Abby and Alex, their families, and their friends that we could not wait to get home and go through all of the photos. Shannon and I spent all day saying “this is our favorite kind of wedding.” As a business that has for most of our history booked 80% of our wedding directly from referrals from previous couples, we always say that great people tend to be surrounded by other great people, and this was certainly on display yesterday. Abby and Alex are absolute sweethearts, and even though there were some nerves here and there, they never let it get in the way of their love of each other and their excitement to spend the day celebrating with the other amazing people in their lives. It was a breath of much needed fresh air.
Huge congrats to you both…thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day!
Joel
p.s. this was our first time shooting at the new venue The Ink House in Edwardsville, IL, and it is quite a spectacular place. Apart from the amazing styling and feel of the place, they have an incredible bar with very high quality cocktails…which we always love. (by far the best Old Fashioned I have ever had a wedding…which earned big points from me).
