Nikki and Josh met at a bicycle bar. He was there for a bachelor party and spied the beautiful Nikki, who was out with some girlfriends. She liked that tall, handsome guy, so that was the start of an amazing relationship.
When Josh was ready to pop the question, he had a plan all prepared. They would take a run through Forest Park, as they often did, and when he got to the planned spot, he would drop down and propose. But as luck would have it, there was an event at the park that day that, so the “place” was inaccessible. Not one to shrink back, he just continued to lead her all around while he came up with plan B. They had their dog, Porter, along with them, so once he came up with the new proposal spot, he knelt down and pulled the ring out of his sock (gotta keep it secure!). She said yes, and they headed out to a surprise engagement party at the same bicycle bar where it all started.
Fast forward to the wedding day, Josh and Nikki decided that they wanted an unconventional wedding, so they had a close friend officiate their ceremony in the beautiful Missouri Botanical Gardens. Nikki even wore a dress of blush pink instead of the traditional white – I love it! After the ceremony, they had an intimate reception with family and close friends. It was a beautiful day, with beautiful emotions, and I am so glad to have been there to help Nikki & Josh document the start of their forever! Congratulations!!
A big thank you to Amy Meyerott for being my amazing second shooter!
