There are a lot of ways to start off the new year. It’s always a time of lots of changes (or attempted changes!). But for Molly and Nate this January ment making it official and gettin’ hitched. I laugh as I type this, because I totally don’t talk that way, although this city girl did get her first pair of cowboy boots for Christmas. Midwest you are rubbing off on me. But I digress…
I think one of the most amazing parts of Molly & Nate’s wedding was the personal touches orchestrated by her mom and bridesmaids. First, the bridesmaids made her an awesome book of letters and photos of them. But what I really loved was her bouquet. It was a broach bouquet, and her mom had all her friends and family contribute a broach or two to create the most beautiful (and HEAVY!) bouquet that will last forever. Then her mom had a book printed that showed pictures of each broach and told who it’s from and any story behind it. Wow. Talk about an heirloom. I love it. I want to go back in time and do that for my wedding.
We ended the day at Our Lady of the Snows, which still had some of the lights from the Way of Lights on, which was just lovely. After all our trekking through the cold and snow, Molly and Nate were still up for doing some night photos with the lights. We warmed up with the hot chocolate bar inside afterwards (Which was just awesome, btw! We need to have more winter weddings, so we can have more hot chocolate bars!). It was a great day, and we are so glad we were able to be a part of it. Congratulations you guys!
