And here, our lovely blog readers, are some of our favorites from Cara and Mike’s amazing wedding! This was another wedding in a string of four wedding with couples that currently do not live in St. Louis…Cara and Mike currently are down in New Orleans. We ended up with some reeeeally heavy rain at one point (with sprinkling off and on from there out), but apart from that, the day was as pleasant as you could want. The ceremony was in Belleville, IL at St. Matthews Methodist Church (which is about 5 minutes from the house I grew up in), and it was our first time having a wedding there. One of my favorite moments was when Mike’s father gave him a pocket watch that had been in their family for many years. Heirlooms and things of the sort are very important to me, and it is always moving for me when I see them passed on. We also really enjoyed getting to shoot photos with a 1930’s Form Model-A car…that was definitely a first! The reception was at the fabulous Crystal Ballroom at the Renaissance Grand in St Louis. This was also our first time having a wedding at this ballroom, so we were extremely excited to have a wedding in such a wonderful place. We were able to do a few more photos with Mike and Cara inside the room…because when you are in a place so beautiful you just have to take advantage of it! Huge congrats to this wonderful couple!!!
