Hotel Lumiere Wedding & Benton Park by St Louis Wedding Photographers

We had the privilege of meeting Alicia & Stephen through one of our favorite couples from last year, Lori & Bill. When Lori described her cousin Alicia to us, she told us that she got all her spunk from Alicia :), so we knew instantly that we were going to love her, and we weren’t wrong. Alicia is fun loving and vivacious, which couples beautifully with Stephen’s more reserved and steady confidence. I’ve had a great time getting to know Alicia over the past year not only as one our bride’s but as my amazing hair stylist as well, so this was a wedding we were really looking forward to! We always love when our couples become more than clients and we all become friends – it’s like an awesome job perk, and something that we think sets us apart.

Alicia is the owner of Salon Fleur de Lis in South City, St. Louis, which is where we started our day with the girls getting gorgeous while the guys relaxed at Lumiere. They managed to refrain from gambling on the wedding day (at least to our knowledge!) and were all looking studly for the ceremony. Stephen is the only brother of 5 sisters who all escorted him down the aisle before he joined his groomsmen. Another unique touch for their ceremony was when Alicia’s mom and dad walked her down the aisle, and I have to give Lou Ann a shout out because she is absolutely beautiful and definitely passed on her looks genes to her daughter! After the ceremony Alicia & Stephen sneaked across the street to Llywelyns, where Stephen works, to take a quick celebratory shot before heading off to photos.

They say you attract people like yourself, so it was no surprise that Alicia and Stephen’s bridal party was fun and a bit crazy. We had a great time with them! (Including some photos of the girls’ matching undies which won’t be appearing in public ;)). Alicia looked & posed like a model, so we couldn’t help doing a few shots of her at the Arch that look like they could be on a magazine – she’s a natural. But I have to say my favorite of her moves was during the reception when she danced with Bill in one of the most amazing displays we have ever seen! Joel’s comment (in typical Joel fashion) was that “Bill achieved levels of white-ness in his dancing hitherto unattained by mortal man.”

We are so happy for you, Alicia & Stephen! Congratulations!
