St Lous Zoo Wedding in Forest Park

When Amanda & Usman told us they were having their reception at the zoo, we were super excited. Not only do we both LOVE the zoo, but we’d not gotten to do a wedding there yet and were so excited about it! But let’s back up. We had’t seen Amanda & Usman for quite some time, as she is in her medical residency and doesn’t really get to have a life outside of the hospital right now :). We had tried to get together for their engagement photos several times, but schedules just kept not working out, so when we got together a few weeks before the wedding it had been awhile. I didn’t remember what a fun couple they are, so when they started talking about the wedding, their flower puppies, and St. Louis Zoo reception complete with animal greeters, it was a fun surprise!

We had a blast with them and their whole bridal party! Everyone was so happy for the two of them to be tying the knot. We started out at the beautiful Cheshire Inn, which is just such a picturesque place to get ready! Then we went on to the ceremony where their two dogs, Fourley & Clover, were there flower puppies – yes they were actually walked down the aisle with flowers on their collars! Then we went down to LaFayette Park & Forrest Park for some photos before ending up at the St. Louis Zoo.

While they took photos with elephants, a hippo and some other friends, guests were greeted by alpacas as they arrived, which were too cute for words. Granted they weren’t the cheetahs that Usman was hoping for ;), but they were still pretty great. The party commenced and following some excellent toasts, we were blown away by the hilarious father-daughter dance Amanda and her dad shared. It was made even better when he wiped out…and just kept right on going. He is a rock star!

We had a fabulous day and couldn’t be happier for this amazing couple! Amanda & Usman we are so excited for you and your family!
