Tuscan Hills Winery Wedding Photography in Effingham

Those of you who are normal readers, have no fear if you think I made a crazy misspelling in the blog title. This was a special, cross-continental wedding with Heather, an American lady and Eugene, a bloke from Dublin. The couple met in Griffon, GA when Heather’s friend planned a party that Eugene also attended. Eugene left the party wondering about Heather, and she left the party feeling like she’d met a lot of great new people! A few weeks later a friend put together a bowling night where they both were to attend, and Eugene ditched out on it, as Heather says. She quickly texted him to joke with him about being scared to be beat by a girl at bowling and the rest is history. When it came time to propose, Eugene surprised Heather at her house with a three course meal he cooked himself (along with a wonderful birthday cake).

We first met Heather and Eugene in person when we went to Atlanta for their engagement session, and we had such a great time getting to know them. It’s always fun when you have a lot of people traveling in for a wedding, and it’s especially great when they are Irish! The Irish blood flows strongly through my (Joel’s) veins, so it was even more exciting. A few things of note: Heather unfortunately came down with a bit of a bug the morning of the wedding, so she was not feeling as great as she would like. But, she was an amazing bride and had a great attitude throughout the entire day. It made us like her even more. 🙂 Also, we want to give a special shout out to Effingham wedding photographer for referring Heather to us! Kate was a friend of Heather’s since kindergarten, but was unfortunately already booked. Thankfully we were able to take care of Heather in her place!
