Meant to be…by St Louis Wedding Photographers Joel & Shannon
We first met this remarkable couple at a bridal show, and we knew right away that they were just the type of couple that we wanted to work with. In fact, as it went on, we began to feel like we were supposed to their wedding. When we met them, all four of their parents were with them, and Ashley’s mother told me the whole story of how Jamison proposed. The parents were so excited about the two getting engaged that all four of them dressed up in huge Christmas character outfits so that they could be there at the park and see the proposal without being noticed. Ok, well…they were noticed for sure! But not as themselves 🙂  We love it when a couple it excited to be getting married, but it makes it so much better when the family is 100% behind the marriage as well.
Ashley and Jamison met at their church (Church on the Rock in St. Peters), and it took a while for things to come around. Jamison had to be very patient in his pursuit of Ashley, but in the end, he proved his worth and they got the green light. We had a chance to get to know their story before their engagement session in downtown St. Charles, and it was clear these two were amazing people. We were so excited for their wedding, and once the day came, the weather we perfect (and not nearly as hot as it had been!) The wedding and reception location was the beautiful Winghaven Country Club in O’Fallon, MO. They decided to see each other before the ceremony, and it was such a beautiful and sweet moment. In fact, the day was full of those types of moments. That’s what happens when you have families who are so thrilled with is about to take place.
We felt so very honored to be a part of Ashley and Jamison’s wedding day. Thank you for trusting us with capturing your wedding. They are a couple that is going to have a long, wonderful life together, and to be a part of the biggest day yet in their lives is so humbling. God bless you both, and we cannot wait to see what is in store for you!
